What we store
- Digest subscribers: your email address, your chosen district(s), and when you confirmed or unsubscribed. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by double opt-in. Unsubscribe with one click from any email.
- Error reports: your message, the story it concerns, and your email only if you give it. Used to review and publish corrections.
- Abuse protection: a one-way hash of your IP address with a counter, for at most a day, to rate-limit forms (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
During early access we take no payments and store no payment data.
What we do not do
No tracking cookies, no analytics, no advertising trackers, no third-party scripts or fonts: our typefaces are served from our own domain. We never store or infer political views. Personalisation is by place and topic only.
Processors
- Cloudflare hosts this site and its database; it processes connection data such as IP addresses to deliver pages.
- Resend sends our emails (confirmation and daily digest).
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion or a copy of your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time by emailing us. You can also complain to a supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
